my cooper and mk1

Been slowly building up parts to built myself a turbo mini. Was originally gonna put the engine in my cooper. But i've also bought a 1966 duper delux Which i'm now tempted to put the engine into The mk1 will be looking like a cooper s when finished along woth a set of reverse rims.

Nice cars! For me it would be a shame to cut the bulkhead up on the Mk1 for the turbo box, restore it to a period car would be my choice but each to their own choice!

If i do do the mk1 i'll use the mirage kit so not to damage the shell. Also mk1 would be a bit more of a suprise to people.

I'd say fuck it, its only a car, chop it up!

Cars look great

From what i've heard the t2 is alot better anyway. So would be a good excuse to fit one. Does anyone know if the mirage kit will fit with the old style gearbox that has the alloy section in the tunnel?

if so, push up on the roof with your hands, it may pop out

Yes that was a dent on the roof which has already been pushed out. But has left some slight creases. If i cant get the roof perfect i've an old style full lenth sunroof but thats the last option.

when i was a lad my friend had a 1275gt in his barn, we used to jump off some bales onto its roof, then push out the dent from underneath with our feet before doing it again
