Was working on a iveco turbo daily today and spotted the intercooler Which looked like the sorta cooler i wanted problem is the end caps! One end is alloy and was very shiney and the other end was plastic. Could i buy two and use the two alloy ends? the intercooler is about 16" long and about 3" deep Found one on ebay today but would buy a new one as the main part and a second hand one for the otherendcap.

Unpick the plastic end and get a ally fabricator to make you an end tank to suit. Also means you would get the outlet pipe in the orientation, position, and size to suit your car.
From the size of it sounds too small to be awfully efficient though?
