Bit of an odd one here chaps....

I'm looking for a bit of an urgent favour from somebody who ideally has some experience with oil boilers. I'm about to buy a used boiler and would really appreciate it if somebody could spend 5mins giving this boiler a quick look over to potentially save me a four hour round trip if it's a really bad egg.

All I need someone to do is turn it on, see if it heats hot water on demand and doesn't do anything stupid like leak to up the CH flow pipe or leak or make any disastrous noises.

I can give out more details as needed - boiler type, location, chap's phone number etc.

Thanks very much
Dan

You wont be able to tell its condistion that easy. Rele it wants a proper service.

Thats a gd clean out, new injector nozzle and seting up afterwards.

Then if u did by it, it wuld need setting up again once refitted.

What make is it ?

Thanks for the reply, it's a Worcester.

I have an old and tired 1996 Heatslave 20/25, and this one is a 2006 or 2007 18/25.

Thats good news then. They are the best.

Do u know if its been serviced before? its very important with oil.

Id say ud be okay with it, just get it installed and set up by an oil qualified person.

(im not but my old man is, bit too far tho im afraid)
