Hi I'm new and I've got the turbo fever after looking at some v.fast minis on youtube. I've got a 1994 Mini Sprite which I have had for 1.5 years now. Its such a pleasure to drive - nothing compares. Its essential mine and my little bros car - we working on it and learning from it.

We haven't done major mods to it yet just fiddled with the engine and electrics - reapiring previous owners dodgy repairs etc. A pic of it is below. We have not touched the exterior, thats how we bought it.

We were thinking of staying N/A - with a 286 cam, race head, wedged crank, SCCR box - you know the works!
My bro wants to aim for 120bhp at the wheels - and on N/A I realise that would be costly - its seems much easier with a turbo. We want a weekend warrior but with the potential of occassional weekday, early morning drive.

So this week I've managed to get a metro turbo kit and turbo carb. The idea is to fit a megajolt, avonbar phase 4 head, avonbar (or avr I think) phase 2 cam, wedged and cross drilled crank, intercooler (from somewhere) etc. But also want to keep to a classic rally look (but with wide wheels) and not too aggressive.

Anyway we just wanted to say Hi - so Hi. *wink*

120hp atw turbo will be easier, cheaper and more reliable than N/A. In theory.
