hey, i'v read a few of the post's on the megajolt electronic ignition system and it seem's like the way to go but there are still a few thing's i dont understand-

1- how/where does the megajolt actualy fit to a mini engine?

2- What part's on the mini engine will hav to be replaced/modified if i fit a megajolt

3- is it hard to set up??

4- is it reliable?

You can fit the megajolt unit wherever you want. I fitted mine behing the dashboard.

The only parts that need modifying are the crank shaft pully needs a toothed wheel mounted on it, and you need a bracket to mount the crank sensor on.

I don't know of any failours, but it's got to be more reliable than a dizzy as it doesn't have any moving parts.
Reliability issues would be down to the quality of the install IMO.

y gibbs is right, only mod is to have a toothed wheel mounted on the crank pulley or have teeth machined into the pulley.

i dont relay understand what comes in the build it yourself kit, lol, i did a quick serch on google on how to assemble a megasquirt system and a whole heeps of realy complicated drawing's came up, is it worth just buying a pre-assembled kit?
