Bill Richards modified cylinder head from BMH Works 24hr Nurburgring racer better known as P245 WFH. I bought this cylinder head from Wayne Butterworth Of West Pennine Motorsport back in 2006. Wayne took ownership of P245 WHF from BMH directly in 1999, and this cylinder head was part of the 'spares' package that came with it. It was originally from the 24hr race engine built by Bill Richards, which, was replaced with a swiftune engine when the car was adapted for World Rally class Group A entry.
I will warn you, this head has seen some use (don't forget it's done the 24hr Nurburgring!), but is far from scrap. Two valve seats are cracked and have been since I bought it. The valve seats have all been re cut and give perfect seal. The cracks while there have not caused any ill effect to date. One inlet valve has been replaced as it was slightly bent. The valve springs are the ones supplied with it, Isky race springs, no idea what poundage. One thread in the thermostat housing has been helicoiled and may need replacing since the coil has started to pull up at the top. I used this head for 4k miles. Also forgot to mention it has 19cc combustion chambers.
No Bypass or temp sender hole.
This head gave 100hp on my 1400 SPI with a standard ECU, 1.5:1 rockers and the mild Kent Cams MD274 injection cam and i'm damn sure its good for more with a 286 cam.
I am only asking what I paid for it £200 due to the wear and tear that is present. This is a well modified head by a man whom knows his stuff. No idea what you would pay these days for a head like this, but i'd expect it to be somewhere around £800+
