just fitted a vmax charger to the beastie and im having some problems,

ive fitted a red top solid state facet fuel pump (anybody know what psi they run on??) its fast road version...

the problem is that i get petrol coming out of the airfilter a few miniutes after switching engine off, also get alot of power in 1st and second but sometimes its really flat.i know it needs a tune up so getting it on the rollers, bought a fuel regulator today, put fuel pressure gauge on the other end as is running around 4psi,and however much i turn the knob on the regulator the presure remains the same..

anybody got an idea??

ps. goes alot faster than a turbo *wink*

i thought the facet pumps arent powerful enough for our kind of applications?

Yes I would agree with that, the facet solid state pumps will produce a high PRESSURE but the FLOW RATE is not up to the job for a forced induction application. Remember that as soon as you boost by 1 bar you double the flow rate required.
I would say you need a turbo or injection fuel pump.

Also what fuel regulator have you got? You still need one that is sensitive to boost pressure the same as the turbo one.

Well then for a start your fuel regulator is wrong as it does not vary the fuel pressure with boost pressure increase. Therefore as soon as you boost for any length of time you will be running LEAN.
Get that sorted out FAST otherwise engine damage will occur!

Turboing minis since '89
Supercharging minis since '04

yes, they are and therefore don't require turbo type regulator , dans application is low boost and will be pushing 120 bhp so the facet pump is capable
