actuator boost levels

hi, i have tested my actuator in the car tonight with an airline with a boost gauge attatched. the actuator starts to open the wastgate at 6psi. does this mean that my actuator set boost or minimum boost level is set at 6psi? if i run the car as it is will the boost be limited to 6psi with the bleed valve closed? the actuator i have continues to open up until 15psi. i have set not a lot of preload. can someone please confirm as i have to get this clarified prior to taking it to the rolling road.

this method of testing is just a rough guide, trying to guess what it will actually hold is like playing pin the tale on the donkey whilst drunk and in the dark ...
my old sett up with a 14mm waste gate cracked open about 4psi fully open by8psi held7-8psi untill it started to creep at 4.5k

my current settup aprox21mm wg actuator identical setings, it now holds 4psi with no creep before 7k

my other actuator ( cracks open @18psi) and i holds over 21psi

thanks for clearing that up for me. i wasnt sure if when the wastgate started to open at a certain pressure that was it, in my case 6pi, or if it continues to climb slightly after that as you progress up the rev range. it looks as though i will have to take it to the rr and see. thanks again, dan
