I want to run a side draught Weber dcoe blow through arrangement carb. The trouble is i don't know the specific carb to use? Weber do a special pressurized side draught dcoe type carb especially for turbocharging. But what is the part number wither it be a 40' 45 dcoe or what? I have seen a few mini turbos with this carb set up in the past - but i can't seem to find one now when i need the info lol. So if someone can point me in the right direction that would be appreciated - thank you.... |

Thanks guys for the suggestions so far - much appreciated. I have thought about using the carbs from the lotus turbo as you have said - but would they be more difficult to tune? Or is it there no more difficult to tune than the Weber's are? Certainly possible as I've seen lotus turbo carbs with plenum go on ebay at a decent price recently. Realistically though the Weber dcoe would be better choice as it has been done many times before and is proven. I like the idea you can buy a kit to adapt the Weber to run pressurized - but where would you get it from that's my problem? |

i have seen both modified for turbo use but as there is a carb off the shelf that is meant for it i would go that route. When i wealt with vw,s they used webbers and dellorto's the funiest thing was that the jet sizes required in the dellorto's seemed to be smaller size that the ones required in the webber. Also they seemed to be better finished that the webbers less casting flash etc. But its just choice and whatever you get first really.
