Hi guys,

Few weeks back I bought a metro turbo lump off of Turbo Craig on these boards. Since then I have wrapped my daily driver around a tree, and the mini that was going to be recieving the turbo lump is now being pressed into service as a daily driver.

Rather than "waste" the potential of the turbo lump, I have arranged purchase of a 1330cc lump with a Longman cylinder head and 286 cam. Im SOOOOOO tempted to strap the turbo gubbins from the metro lump to it. I'm confident the bottom end is tough enough (if you have a ?500 longman head, you dont skimp elsewhere!) So should I?

theres another post similar to this...

the problem you have is the 1330 is likly to be far too high a CR engine with a too wild cam for turboing.

A 266 is all your likly to need up to about 200 odd bhp, forced induction jsut doesnt need the duration!!

I personally would look for a turbo engine and use that.

Fair enough!

Just have to wait a while till I build the really crazy bugger to use the turbo!
