Is there any calculasion between the 2. So say if u had a 8.5 c/r when you built it and ran a comp test you should know wat the compression should be. Or vice-versa?

If that made scense

13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat!

I suppose in theory there would be a relationship between the two. You could work it out with a bit of maths if you assumed a perfect seal.

but compression is also efected by cam overlap timing etc

it will only relate to the dynamic compression at what revs the starter turns the engine over at, not the static c/r

one day boost will be mine!

you need to work out the dynamic compression ratio to get an idea of this,
this sheet will help with that...

http://www.projectpontiac.com/ppsite15/com...atio-calculator

after that times the dunamic ratio by 14.7 to get a theoretical psi... however this dosent account for heat so the figure will seem very low.

Joe, do you have a photo of your tool?
