I'm having a bit of a think about where to put the intercooler for my long-awaited (as in been thinking about it for 6-years) blow-through supercharger setup.

Have a look at Nic and madmk1s cars. they run this setup and it seems to work well. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

It needs to be really well ducted though to get a decent airflow. |

What about under the front valance? That's where I originally planned to put mine, until I mocked it up and found that I had no where to run the boost pipes.. With a holier subframe than mine it wouldn't be too dificult to run the boost pipes? http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...tid=469104&fr=0 |

The wing area works well if ducted really well like Phil says, otherwise there not much good, my side mount rad cools plenty where it is now, would much rather use the space up front for a good intercooler imo. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

It's a Clubbie estate, so there is more scope to put something down inside the valance than with a roundnose - but I'm thinking that a side mount would enable me to have better curves on the pipework instead of elbows. Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |
