Hey guys

I have a 850 engine and it seems to be down on compression so I wiped head off and the bores are all sooted up and head gaskets split between 2 & 3

the pistons have movement in them ? is that a allowance for this?

and should there be a small lip near top of the bore where the last piston ring sits?

Yes the pistons. Do move around. Tad...

Replace the gasket and then do a compression. Check, let us know what you have. ?

Yeah it moves about 1mm to 1.3 mm if that but you can see it move and ill replace the head gasket then and try get hold of a compression tester again
