Hi
Any one know where I can buy a clamp for the down pipe to manifold, all standard fittings.
Tried minispares but no luck, and no-one else is showing one.
cheers

Or failing that I got one to fit an allegro 1100 i think, someone on here told me it would fit and it is exactly the same but less the turbo tax. Think i payed about £4
Better off finding the link to find exactly which car it was.

Not sure what you're after. You say standard fittings, but the T2 was never fitted as standard to an A-Series.

What ecxactly are you trying to join? do you have a photo?

Hi
Ok, I am new to this turbo lark and coud have got it all wrong. I bought the down pipe from Minispares, A Maniflow unit with the movable joint. I need to connect this to the turbo.
When I bought this engine, complete with all the running gear , I was told it was a t2. Are you saying this is probably a t3 unit. How can I tell the difference?
Sorry to sound so thick but I am on a steep learning curve here.
Will try to get a piccy up but the lumps in the motor now. Will do my best (god help us)
Cheers

Well thanks for that.
Least I know where I am at. Can get a clamp off Benross now too.
All the daft questions about dumpvalves and boost thingy to follow.
Thanks for the help so far

Tommyboy, was this engine bought on eBay about 4 weeks ago? If so, I remember seeing this and it was absolutely showroom condition! Nice buy IMO :)

Hi Billus89
Yup, thats the one. Hoping the guy got it all correct when he put it together.
Looks a lot different now though. Fully cleaned and painted to match the car, with probably far to much bling on it, and I ain`t finished yet.
I paid a fair bit for it, but as it is a full recon with everything on it, I think I did ok, considering the price you have to pay for just a naked engine.
Hopefully, I should get it started later this month. There will be a lot of body parts going in and out that day for sure.
Cheers
