Something on my car keeps flattening the battery, how can I test to see wats drainin it?

13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat!

If you have a DVM with a decent amp range (say 5 or 10A) take the positive lead off the battery WITH KEYS OUT, EVERTHING TURNED OFF and put the DVM (on amps) between the two. Note the reading and starting pulling fuses one at a time until it drops.


EDIT - Also, when you have it fully charged, leave the positive lead off the battery overnight or a couple of days and see if it is discharging by itself.... modern batteries tend to do so if they are knackered or near the end of their life (bits drop off the plates and build a sludge up at the bottom of the cells which slowly discharges them)
