Fitments sizes and turbo cooling oil feed

Hi Guys,

I have searched the forum and haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.

I need an oil feed for my turbo, i have just looked on minispares £60 with delivery which imo is ridiculous and they are out of stock.

Is there anywhere else cheaper? equally if anyone would like to sell me one it would be appreciated?

Go to your local hydraulics place. If it's a T3 then you want a 3/8unf banjo bolt on the turbo end and a 1/8 NPT straight fitting on the other end. They usually cost me about £15.

excellent cheers, just had an idea iv found various tpieces and fitments all 1/8 bspt or NPT i believe because they screw into the block. so ill take your advice and ring around tomorrow.

Just to add on I Got a quote from Carlton hydraulics in Rotherham.

I have requested the correct fittings however Im not 100% sure on the length.

I'm going to run it from the oil pressure switch.

I don't have the head or turbo on yet so it's hard to estimate.

Would 500mm be ample?

That's who I use as they are local, not sure on the length.

What you can do is get them to only swage one end. Then you can offer the hose up to your engine and decide the exact length you need. Take the hose back and they will swage the other end.
I use Carlton a lot, nothing is too much trouble. Say hello from me if you go down.

Yeah I'll do a bit of name dropping, I don't think I'll be able to pop back as I'm in Hull but going to tie it in with going to p&l minis.

Don't suppose anyone's car is in bits and has one laying around they could measure?

There around 600mm-700mm on my gt20 depending on how you route it.
