The only info on the carb i can find is a number on it which is JZX1611 and a little f symbol.

Any help?

I will get them up tomorrow, only reason why i asked is i found a stub stack but it doesnt line up both are 1.75" and i dont have any any other carbs to run off it atm *smiley*) any pointers to help me id it the differences between each type *smiley*)

no such thing as a hif6. a hs6 will have an external float and a big nob underneath to adjust the mixture

HIF6's do indeed exist, and I have a pair of NOS ones as fitted to an MGB.

The major difference is that mounting flange is a traditional diagonal 2-bolt job like on an HS carb instead of the later square 4-bolt one.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.
