hi regarding what paint to use on underside of car ,subframes etc, other than hamerite i prefer to now use agricultural paint used on farm machinery and in my opinion is vastly superiour, doesent chip off easily and retains a certain flexibility, can be sprayed with cellulose thinners and comes in loads of colours ,costs about 9 pounds a litre ,something you might like to consider as hamerite just aint the same as it used to be ,*smiley*

It never was any good to start with.

If you want a good resistant finish. Epoxy primer and 2k topcoat.
