Hi just to brush up on my previous "poll" (apologies) discovered a Hole in my plenum chamber ive got, looks like its meant to be there but am slightly confused what its for! :/ any ideas
Low boosting for now. |

Looks like the factory blow of valve hole. There should be a spring and valve inside. You need to either get it welded up or pack it out with 5ps glues into it. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

excellent, thanks for that, obviously i looked at it and thought it had to be for a purpose, looks well machined. will look into plugging it up somehow Low boosting for now. |

And so i now know to. Just got my plenum in today and had the same question. Again one step closer to the dream engine. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

If you still have the rubber piston that fits in there you can replace the spring with 5p's so it sealed tight Yes i moved to the darkside |

Lol not, back then i didnt know.. So as i took it apart the rubber bung catupoulted into outer space.. Haha Low boosting for now. |

Hm. I bought it without the rubber piston. Probably wil just close it up. Hmm that's cast iron right? you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

I packed mine with a load of 5ps then stuck the spring and stopper back in there, basically packed the spri.g out to put it under more tension, it held ok with 10 psi, hoping it will be ok with the 16 plus psi that i plan to run very soon |

Great news. I am booked in at the rollers next sat morning, was wondering if this and the bosch recirculating dv will hold up to the 16 psi that i hope to start with. Hopefully will all be fine, took 3 trips last year bofore i got a power run due to various issues! Dan |

you can always block off the dv, 16psi is not going to smash anything in a few dyno pulls

What is 5 ps? I won't run more than 10 psi . (supercharger) i was going to give it to my mate to weld it shut. He can weld dam near everything. And good luk on the 16 psi run... daim next engine must be turbo.. (been following up on th psi hp topic great figures!) you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
