I have a megajolt lite V4 and seem to be having problems reading ECU, i keep getting timeout cylinder count, any suggestions?

is it on a usb to serial adapter? it sounds like a port setting error

I kept getting that on mine, turns out i had it on the wrong COM port option on the MJ software.

Make sure you choose the correct one for the USB slot you're using.

if its a straight serial port on the laptop it should be easy...
assuming your on xp (other windows are similar)
Start,>
control pannel,>
system,>
hardware (tab),>
device manager...then scroll down to ports and expand it, it should tell you what port number is allocated to what port
just select that in the mjlj config
