Speak to turbocox on here, he has one fitted in the back left corner of the engine bay. He also has a b-pillar scoop that he runs on the strip.

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

If it was me (and I do have a mid engined A-series turbochared car) I'd fit a charge cooler rather than an intercooler.

My car currently has and IC but it's so badly mounted it's worthless. When I finally get round to playing with it, it's the first job I'll do.

Trying to use what I have got as much as possible. I have a spare punto gt intercooler

I am fitting my metro turbo engine to the gtm while the metro bodywork is getting done then putting a completely different engine in.

Charge cooler would mean another pump, rad etc.

May just run water/methanol injection with no intercooler

Just run it standard boost with no IC if it's a temporary job. As you say, no point going to the hassle of piping up a charge cooler short term.

If you could find somewhere in the boot area with some airflow then you could fit the IC, but it'll never be as good as a front mounted IC or a charge cooler.

water methanol will be a pita for low boost... fine for high power as it'll only be used ocasinally, but as a band aid for no cooler..... yuk!

How much (if any) body cutting are you willing to do? ie cut a ule in the engine lid and poke it through,
