Hi all,
I am looking at fitting a paddle clutch to my weekend turbo track mini and was wondering if anyone has any experience with using this type of clutch ie: is it as indestructible as its claimed? and is it worth changing from a race type clutch kit you can get from any good performance mini parts supplier?
I am aware or this rts idea but still do not completely understand it.
Any help would be great!!
thanks*happy*

Somewhere around Swindon

I had a paddle plate in my last build with a single grey, no real problems with it, it slipped less than the organic "race/rally" plate but when it did slip it generated much more heat, depending on the weight of your car i would say its not necessary under 160 brake

I run a paddle plate in a standard verto. The organic plate slipped, and the paddle doesn't.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

I would opt for the 5 finger paddle friction plate, this on is forgiving its not like a switch on an off feels more like a normal clutch and holds torque.

Available from minspares
