58/2? What's that on???

Fab, 'usually' the missing tooth/teeth are 90-120 degrees BTDC - basically the ECU needs the TDC reference before the maximum advance the engien will see. Different manufactureres do it all differently however!

I think you'll find the missing teeth need to be lined up with TDC and the trigger / sensor needs to be positioned 90 degrees BTDC.
So looking at the end of the crank pulley this would mean the sensor would need to be positioned at 9 o’clock.
The sensor is positioned here to allow the ECU time to calculate the ignition point. Take the Rover MEMs setup for example, the sensor will see the missing tooth/teeth 90 degrees BTDC and then has a delay angle built into the software of 45 degrees this leaves 45 degrees for you to adjust the timing and normally on the ignition map you are able to set the value from 0 to 45 degrees.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.

I have now fitted the emerald supplied throttle pot sensor, I'll try and find a photo.

Fab, with the emerald software you can move the trigger wheel reference point.

er, Jim - Fab was after a crank sensor pic? I might be wrong, but that really looks like a throttle potentiometer...

Hum? Jim, Dave the tps isn't larger than the trhttle shaft on your?, why did you get back using the emerald one?
about my trigger wheel I have more problem as it is based on an mpi block, so their is the tensioner of the belt in front, and ican't put the wheel inside the mini damper, but I have to put it at the outside , seing the rad mount and engine mount I wil not have enough space....
a little more work is needed
fab
ps, I get a crysler map sensor and bmw air temp/water tempsensor , which one did you used

I used a 2.5bar map sensor which I bought from emerald, but I think there all made by same companys. Dave suplied me with the air and water temp sensors, I'm pretty sure they are rover ones.

I only changed the tps as I didn't have enough AMP connectors for the original ford one, the emerald came with it's own connector, (which shortly broke) so I will going back to the origonal one.
