How many drive straps do you guys use?

I have been using 2 for years, but was advised that three was better, put three and and it seems that the clutch is slipping.

Obviously I'm going to take the third ones off, but just interested what others do?

We had 3 on the van and it only slipped with a grey when we stuck 18psi through it, fine with a double grey for as much as we could throw at it (until the thrusts went...).

I'm putting 3 on my mini.

Cant see how three drive straps will allow the clutch to slip, unless you have not machined material from the lugs on the backplate, same amout as the extra strap.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

That was my thinking actually. Just wanted a feeling of what people run to give me confidence that 2 is ok.
