On stripping my gt17 down I discovered the shaft is knackered so require a replacement.

As so many gt17's have trashed compressors I figured someone may have one lying round.

I got one for slightly less a while ago but it was for a diesel (GT1749VNT).

Exactly the same wheel/shaft profile as the GT1752 (the last two digits are the compressor wheel size, not the turbine) but the material spec may be lower for a diesel.
