I've done a bit of research but nothing confirmed; I,ve mounted my ford coilpack on the brace bar which replaced the inner wing. I'm trying to identify a set of plug leads that would suit this position but none of the manufacturers seem to issue lead lengths in there literature. My local factor has been next to useless as well and is only interested if I give him a reg number of the car they are for!.

So, if you mounted the coilpack on the inner wing area, which lead set did you use?

Cheers

Rob

We had them on the inner wing of the skip. We used fiesta leads.

I used fiest leads too. I went to Halfords and opend all the Fiesta boxes until I found a set with the correct ends on, which by coincidence will be about the right lenghts.

Cheers guys.

I've still got the leads that i took with the coil in the scrappies of the fiesta but they are quite short too. However a couple of photos on ebay suggest that other fiesta sets might work. I think I'll take a trip to halfords and have a look at what they have got in stock.

Whoohaaa, they're masive. My coil pack is on the inner wing on one car and the brace bar on the other. the shortest of the set I have is around 30cm, which works well.

I got the vans stuff of a MK 5 escort. The coil pack was bolted to the back of the block. Leads on that looked a good length.

Andy, chees, I've just looked at the old van thread and they look about right.

Graham, cheers but I think short ones will be no good.

Get the leads for a 'N reg Ford Fiesta 1.3' theese have the coil on the back of the block. So have the longer leads.

or make your own, you can buy the lead stuff cheaply enough by the metre and reuse the coil ends of any ford lead set, and the right angle ends are available on the web,

I mad my leads by getting a set of magnacors for a v8 for cheap... leads are long enough to at least 3 sets on mine.
