The Royal Mail lose every parcel I ever send.....and I am a TWAT

could i fit a set of straight cut gears from a remote pre a gearbox into my a+ box and would this be a good idea or not cheers lee

Pre A gearbox?? That doesn't exist :)
If you mean to fit an A-gearset into an A+ box, it's a doddle. The only difference being the reverse gear. You will need to fit the correct o nes. Remember to use the A rod-reverse gear. NOT the A+ one. Also, the drop gearse will need to be of the same sort, either A or A+. You can with special bearings fit the A idler to the A+ box.

all depends if its a 3 syncro or 4.

4 should fit but you will need the main shaft out of the a series. i think.

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Yes.. If it's a 3sync, there's no chance.

You'd have to use both the mainshaft/3rd motion shaft and layshaft from the A as hogster mentioned.

The late model (post 69) magic wand gearbox is EXACTLY the same casing as a remote box, apart from two shafts and a plate. If you obtain these three items you could make any remote box into magic wand. Magic eey?? :)

Anyone in the Midlands got one collecting dust that they wanna get rid of? *laughing*
