I adjusted the pump and shortened the actuator rod .. Made hell of a difference on my 200 tdi with a bit of black smoke on full throttle but nothing major with an ally sport front mount intercooler. Not much help I know but it went real well after *happy*

No.

But what diesel do you have?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

If it has recently become sluggish, clean the inside of the intercooler out, check the lift pump is working, how much boost it is running, injector cleaner etc.

Near Paris - France

Newish diesel becoming sluggish is usually a cogged EGR valve.

Diesel engine need spirited driving once in a while. Not everybody does it.

Rusty by nature

blank the EGR of with a nice bit of ally plate before you do anything . causes to much shit in the manifold and loads of probs when they stick open

Mine smokes a bit on startup, just an old landrover diesel engine!

You can shorten the actuator arm a bit. I've just been thinking about adding a bleed valve on my 300 as the actuator is inaccessible.

I wouldn't go more then 16psi though personally. If you do turn it up make sure you fit a decent intercooler and give the pump a tweek to supply some more fuel with the air to make it all worthwhile

Also turning the fuel diaphram 90 degrees makes a big difference on mine. Trouble is the temptation to keep turning it never goes away!

I'm gonna fit a bigger intercooler to mine, straight through exhaust and turn the boost to 16psi. It'll either go well or at 150k blow up so we'll see!

Keep us posted, im tempted to turn up the boost on mine, but then id need to put a non-rusty radiator and probably put a bit of coolant in it for summer.

In boost we trust

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Land rover TD4 intercoolers are huge and where pretty efficient on the upside down skip. should go straight in the earlier cars with a bit of fettle.
