Not a YB, but a guy in my village has a Westfield with a 4.9 Rover and over 400bhp.

He has broken the chassis in several places so far !

Lightest Caterham Superlight I have weighed was an R400 @ 508kg. That had had some serious lightening (aero screen, bolts trimmmed flush with nuts etc..) Either your friend is a dreamer or the bit of kg was 108 lol!!

Having said that 680 is ridiculous amount for a seven type car!

It's the old 1800 k series model. I'm sure it's under 500kg. 460 springs to mind.

Either way. The point as you say is that 680kg is lots for this sort of car.
