I need a pair of dowels (gearbox to flywheel housing) for my engine build. I have some in a spare gearbox, but can't get them out.

Does anyone know an easy way to remove them without knackering them? Mole grips is just chewing them up.

Thanks Daz

Clamp the dowel in some soft jaws in a vice, then twist and pull the housing, and they should come out easily.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

As matty says,
also Use some penetrating oil to help! And or a little heat on the dowels
