Hi everybody,

Been lurking here for a while and finally decided to sign up and get some questions asked and answered .

Firstly my plan is to turbo my 1991, 998.
I am aiming for up to 120 bhp and have worked out the below spec to help me get there.

I'm guessing I will need a cr around 8.5ish, up to 15psi for this kind of power.

Megajolt
12g295 head, ported with 35/29mm valves (already own this head, will need some chamber enlargement due to being skimmed, is this possible? around 25cc I think)
HIF44 turbo carb
MG metro cam or similar
gt1544/gt1548/gt1549 turbo etc (unsure which will suit best/ be easy to get hold of)
4 pin diff
MPI tank, pump, regulator etc
The biggest intercooler i can fit :)
Plus relevant items such as inlet & exhaust manifolds etc

Any advice on the spec is welcome, plus there are probably many things I haven't considered yet!

Are the standard 998 internals going to be up to 120bhp? I'd have thought you would be on the limit for at least some proper pistons?

A warm welcome! Yes your spec is ok parts wise
Depending how much has been skimmed. Of the head should be quite possible to pop it to 25 ccs in the chambers,

Thanks for the welcomes.

Well the head is currently at 25cc, but will need to be enlarged/ dished pistons used is order to bring the CR down. The exact figures needed haven't been calculated yet.

I was contemplating reboring to the next size and getting new pistons anyway, depending on what state the bore is in.
Can anyone recommend some good pistons for a turbo 998, as I hear the old favourites are no longer available.
