I have been keeping a lightweight steel vernier timing set for my engine for ages, and looked at it the other day and the cam sprocket bore is way to big for a mini cam :(

It measures 28.5mm (probably 1.1/8"), anyone know what it could be for? I thought it must be a Rover V8 but tried it on a spare cam and not that either, sprockets are the same size, and crank one looks the right size...

Any way of running it on a bush or popping a new centre piece in? Gutted I cant use it as it's another ton town the drain if I gotta buy another set.

Oh, no manufacturer marks either but looks the same as most steel lightweight ones, lots of holes!

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

you have fluffed up sadley

yes you could bush it down but not advisable on that item

i would get the correct lightend steel duplex or if you are on a budget the cast duplex from minispares wont break the bank

Yeah thought I'd just buy a new one, need to find out what this one fits so I can get rid of it or keep it!

Whats the bore size of a mini one?

If there's a big enough difference In bore sizes I can't see using a key'd adaptor being an issue.

I'm not keen on using an adapter, I could probably make a new centre piece on the lathe (vernier is 2 piece), but don't have enough time to get other peoples jobs done at the mo let alone mine!
