i have been back and forth the local rolling road over the last few weeks with various problems (failed leakdown, problems with megajolt).

finally made it onto the rollers this am, results are 126.9bhp at flywheel, 128.3 lbft. 10 psi of boost. i will get the graphs scanned and posted up later on, im happy with this being my first turbo build and done on a very tight budget.

cheers, dan

i havent updated the build thread for a while.

rough spec is metro bottom end, sw5 cam, turbophil head, rockers bushed to around 1.4:1, standard t3 etc, compression ratio aprox 8.7:1. also running a cossie intercooler modded by steve (benross).

this engine really has been put together on a shoestring, all of the items were purchased (cheaply!)in good second hand condition.

i am already collecting parts for the next engine build though im looking forward to getting out and about ahd having some fun in it as it is for now

i will get the graphs up tomorrow if anyone is interested

Good result. About the same as the van on 10psi.

Certainly lively enough for the road.

Good job.

Just keep an eye on the AFR and ease off if you see it leaning out otherwise you'll do what I did and det the edge of a piston or somut.

Well done.

Rich.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

clutch wise i am running a pre verto setup with ap fast road clutch plate and grey diaphragm

an afr gauge is next on my shopping list. the afr was fine on the rollers, tom said there could be more to come, he held off the last 500 revs and we could have bled a bit more off. though i didnt want to push my luck, when we got thr 130hp on 10psi i was happy with that.

hopefully i will get chance to get out an about in it over the next few weeks and get a proper feel as to what it is like on the road
