just bought an offset bored 1380 block off a mate bores are 73.5 i take it i can use the metro turbo rods i have and use powermax pistons ,il also be using a wedged and balanced and tufrided crank ,and a slark stage 4 head i have lying around ,any advise on building this up would be good its going to be run on a weber 45,also has anyone fitted a 11 stud head onto a 9 stud block ,boring and taping the block themselves

If the blocks already bored, but your getting some pistons then the chances are it wont be bored to give the correct clearance for the pistons you have, unless you're very lucky.

I dont understand why youre putting a weber on it only to put an awful camshaft in it.

Now not on this forum so much but youll have people moan about tractability.

my 296sp 1293 was a kitten. Most people who moan about how bad they are to drive havnt driven with one.

895 in mine is a pussycat with basically the same spec as yours. Easy to pull away and takes off at 3k.

And from what sam says a 296 is on the money too.

286, beautiful road cam in a 1380 withe a good head. 296 is not a rad cam.

yeh thinking now il use the kent 286 with new followers ,and a swifttune vernier i picked up, by the way any ideas on manifold im thinking of using maniflow coupled to an rc 40
