On my engine, there is a small hole on the pipe that goes out of the turbo (bolted with two bolts). This hole has got a small brass thingy in it. What goes here? Could I weld it up?

I was thinking boost gauge, but that's fitted to the manifold right??
Damn, I hate turbos. So many wires, pipes, hoses and crap to go anywhere...

All the alloy outley pipes I have ever seen have had no tapping or insert in them at all? Maybe yours has been modified by a previous owner for some sort of gauge or other take off? If you don't need it for anything I'd say weld it up, however could be a useful place to put a temp sensor, and then another after your i/c to see how much heat you are getting out of the charge?

Thanks.
It's situated just below the"W" in the part number on the pipe.

Mark probably did this, but he's off-line. I tried sending him a text message, but I guess he's off line there as well *wink*

Not sure what you'd want there... Weld/plug it up.
