You need a the correct tool to pull them into place. If you're handy & have access to a lathe you can make one.

im thinking threaded rod with a large socket either end and pull into place ,il heat the block before and stick bearings in the freezer for 24hrs ,a method ive used b4 on a motorbike swing arm ,the heating expands the block slightly and the freezing contracts the metal slightly il let you all know how i get on, thanks for all the replys

easy to do with the right tools.... easy to fuck up without.

when they are pressed in they need to be kept in alignment otherwise they stick and distort.

this is what you need.

centre is M10 studding, on the left next to my finger is a bearing so ease friction under the nut, to the right of that is a plug with two steps, one to fit in the oil pump end, and one to fit in the timming chain end of the block, next are the three tools for the bearings, they are machined so they will fit through their relative bearing hole in the block, and will slide into the bearing with a few thou clearance.

you should polish the block with fine wet and dry, lube the block before fitting the bearings to help them slide in.

I did it DIY years ago, just tapping them into place like you would a wheel bearing.

Amazingly it worked as well !

A correct tool would be quite easy to make up, but use a good sized threaded bar M16 or above.

i was planning on using a big flange at the front and rear of it and pul them in each seperate. because i read that the new type of bearings are linerd out without need to linebore.

Try sliding the bearings onto the cam. If they slide on easily, they're the correct final size.

It's not that difficult, just take care. One thing I didn't expect was that if I tightened the nut at the same end as the bearing it would rotate the bearing maybe 10 degrees so the oilways didn't line up. Turning the nut at the opposite end was better.

Some people report that the camshaft can be tight at first, but can be corrected fairly easily. I've never had that problem so can't advise.

Everyone frowns on the idea of tapping them in... Clearly a lot of caution is needed but fair play for just doing it and making it work.

Last set I installed I had a high spot that I had to fix with old-school hand scraping. Worked great.

Okey.that gives me an idea of what to do. Ill just try it. After all it is just a bearing shell that will be for the bin if it goes wrong. Doesn't cost that much money so cheap learning.
