Does it matter which way round they go? long bolt v short bolt at the rear.

the ones on my mini are the opposite way to the ones on my spare subframe
short bolt to the rear looks neater imo and is how it is on the mini

been having a bit of trouble getting my rear frame in (yes I tried it before final welding when I replaced the whole rear end). was wondering if they where dimensionally different one way to the other.

kent

They are dimensionally different from what I can see by eye, the centre of the bush hole is closer to the larger bolt if that makes sense :)

Sorted. Had the rear trunion bolts fully tightened up. As soon as I slackened them off it released the tension and allowed the subframe to lift into the right spot. Time for some radius arms, shockers and some wheels. *smiley*
