Current status:
Had it running on KDFI last week, but with a lot of smoke from the turbo. Now the turbo is on the workbench waiting for new seals.

After that:
Tuning with Tunerstudio!!
- improve starting
- tune VE maps

Remko

Looks good.

Is it sequential injection?

You could do with some ducting for the IC or moving it into the airflow to make the best of it.

It's a very opend out 12G940, the chamber design has been discussed n TM on a number of occasions.

Now thats an interesting setup!

Keep us updated how you get on. :)

I agree wit Wil...get some good airflow to the IC and maybe try and move the intake to some cooler air out the front.

I like the inlet/throttle body setup.

As above, is this running sequential injection?

Thanx for the positive reactions!

It's sequential injection, the only way to do port injection on an a-series!

About the IC and airfilter: Bonnet is going to be a little open at the top, so there will be flowing some air trough the enginebay. Hope this will be enough...

I'll keep you posted

Remko

Turbo is back in now and smoke is gone!

Trying to improve every day. It's my first time tuning with tunerstudio, but engine runs already pretty good!
- Starting is OK now
- Lambda-signal is far from perfect, but at least not lean on boost. But enough room to improve.
- Unfortunately ve-analyze in megalogviewers doesn't seem to support alpha-n and speed density, as I need this combination because of the throttle bodies. Anyone any suggestions?
- T2 turbo is really excellent for a 1275 engine. Almost no turbo-lag! My goal is about 150 relyable BHP, wich should be achievable!

Without going back to the licencing debate....

How are you measuring AFRs or, more to the point, how are you measuring inners vs outers (on a turbo build) ???

The lack of support in the log viewers is probably fairly obvious (un-licenced firmware for your ECU) but you should be able to get something to post.

I would be most interested in the inner/outer AFR spread under boost.

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Thanks for not going into licence debate again! If I ever need a new ECU it will surely be a MS.

I use a wideband lambda in the downpipe, so I use the average. In the future I will try to fit an extra lambda-sensor to find out if inner and outer are pretty the same, certainly before going to higher boost. For now I just check the colors of the plugs as I did in the past.... I know that's far from accurate!

As I use a weber-style throttle body it's not possible to use speed density as a single table. I use an alpha-n table (TPS) and from manifold pressure 70 I will sum that with a speed density table. I don't think the problem with megalogviewer is licence, but the fact that I use a combination of 2 ve tables.

Remko
