I have just fitted a quick shift to my gearbox but find I am now unable to select reverse gear. Can anyone tell me where I must have gone wrong?? The installation seemed to be straightforward enough.*tired*

Reverse is always a pain in the arse to find with a quickshift.

Mine got easier with use.

It is (or shoud be) there. All I can suggest is keep fiddling.

same here, when i first fitted my quickshift i thought i would be taking it out again! i actually turned the plate around on the bottom of the selector box thing...so i dont have to lift for reverse any more...which requires a very precise 3rd to 4th gear change..

i may be wrong about this but i seem to remember that you have to shorten the spring so maybe you have to shorten it some more,am i right its a while since i did mine.

p.s mine is difficult to get reverse but a bit of brute force and ignorence is the key*smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Thanks for all the help guys. I took the plate off the bottom of the gearshift housing and I could get reverse ok then, so I just ground down the lug and I don't have lift to select reverse now. Working a treat now. Ta.*happy*
