Morning all,

I have to replace a full scuttle on a minivan, has anyone on here had experience fitting both genuine and pattern ones of these? It's almost £60 difference between them so if there is not a great deal of difference then the pattern one would suffice!

Thanks

not done a skuttle, but I found the majority of the pattern panels I tried on my car where utter shite.

Just done a front and and some other parts plus a respray on one of mine. The heritage panela need quite a bit of work to make them fit and line up properly. But from past experience, non gen panels really are a risk, some fit ok, some just dont fit at all.

I fitted a genuine scuttle on mine, mini spares suggested going for the genuine one, and i'm glad i did cause it fitted a treat.

If you want to have a look at the fit drop over, its on my other car with a flip front so you can get a good look at it, can give you some tips too.

Ive fitted a genuine one, and it fitted perfectly. To be honest its one of them panels that once fitted you wouldn't want to do again. I'd go for a genuine one, just for sake of having better quality metal that won't rot out in a few years.

I used the heritage one on mine and it fitted with genuine wings without issue.

Having said that, I know a few specialists who will use the Hadrian ones quite happily if on a budget

Somewhere around Swindon

genuine is taller on the windscreen partsd so you have more metal to play with

Thanks for the advice all, I think i'll go for the genuine, I started off with just replacing the corners, but found more rust so am just going to do the whole thing, may as well do it properly!

Joe, when I get round to it, I may take you up on that offer, i'll let you know :) Got to fit the inner wings first!

when yoy get to it give me a shout, you can glue it on with my spot welder, ideal for the screan seam.

also, get yourself some spot weld drills, wonderful bit of kit.

Heritage ones plop straight on, Hadrian bits are crap.

I've recently fitted a genuine minispares one to my car and it fitted perfectly, with some help from minidan doing the welding.
