My mates Primary gear any ideas why its gone like this?

Primary gear thrust washer damagd or missing, or idler gear thrust washer damaged or missing

Properly missing knowing him he's such a Bodge jobber!

I did hear the new non gen gaskets, you have to shim the idler gear

You shim it with any gasket - gen or not

I seriously doubt it!
