hi just checking if anyone knows the correct running clearance for the pistons and rings in the bore,i take it i can check just by sticking the ring in the bore and measuring the gap ,cheers give em hell |

Piston clearance & ring gaps are two totally different things. After the block has been bored & honed to size you check the ring gaps by intalling them in the bores, yes. Piston clearence is done when the block is first bored & honed & is done to give the correct running clearance for the pistons used. |

73.5mm bore is usually a 4 thou skirt clearance I seriously doubt it! |
