Hey guys and girls
I have been given these rims to buy; they are 12”x4” with a plus 42 offset and 100mm PCD.
Can you please help me with what tyre size, clearance problems and if they just look any good on the car.
Thanks heaps

rob

mini is 4" pcd so they don't fit.

Pcd is wrong but you might be able to use some specialist washers to make them fit.

Offset is high for a mini by the look of it but could possibly get away with it depending on the application.

Finally, a 4" rim is narrow. Cooper alloys are 4.5"as an example

I do like the look of them though

I think they look ok, but too narrow, and you need to check the PCD if you are to use them.

You're a brave man jacking your car up there, I hope there's no engine in!
I've seen many a floorpan bent by being jacked up there, it's bad practice. I won't even do it without an engine just to be on the safe side.

They are the wrong PCD to use safely on a Mini, and this can clearly be seen in the picture. Look like a VW wheel to me so 4x100mm NOT 4x4" which is what a Mini uses.

i have found out the pcd on those rims and they are 100mm x 4 pcd and they are designed for a 1980 models subaru sherpa. some little jap city car. i wont be using them.
as for the floor it is already bent up in that area. the owner before me use to jack it up there all the time. alot of mechanics in Aus think its ok to jack up under the floor pan ( because the car doesnt weigh much*oh well*)
i know its wrong and i wont do it again *smiley*

thanks guys for you help.
