Hi, I have a pretty much standard metro turbo setup in my mini apart from the metro turbo dizzy, all I have is the standard metro dizzy, the old man had a fiddle with my timin yesterday and got it idling abit better than it used to, but all I wanted to know is if anyone could help me out with how many degrees adv/retard I should have it set at, I'm pretty sure dad retarded it, so any advice would e much appreciated.
Low boosting for now. |

i'd have thought that a standard dizzy would have far too much cetrifugal advance for a turbo engine? On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Megajolt is pretty simple to set up, there are plenty of guide on here and on the autosportlabs website.

Metro turbo dizzy centrifugal advance at 5000rpm is 18 to 22 degrees, Metro dizzy centrifugal advance is 24 to 28 degrees.

So ideally the best bet would be to get hold of a metro turbo dizzy? I've found a company on eBay that sells distributors for "metro turbo" I messaged him to clarify it would be okay for this set up and he said it will be fine here's a link, not sure weather to buy or not :/ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-Metro-Turbo-E...=item19c69ebb3d Low boosting for now. |

To be honest, if you're looking at spending £80 on a dizzy, then you might as well bite the bullet and save for MJ.

Megajolt it is then! I know there's different types like tps and map?? Just wondered which would be the better bet? I'll definately make MJ my next goal in this case. Low boosting for now. |
