Afternoon all,

I'm having some problems lining up a Heritage inner wing onto a 1969 Minivan, in that I just can't get it to line up, especially inside the door jamb panel, has anyone got any suggestions?

The extra curve on the bottom of the panel (as can be seen in one of the photo's) stops the panel from being lifted higher as it fouls on the inside of the step, and short of cutting that curve out I am not sure what to do? As I cannot seem to get it high enough, there is around a 20mm gap on the underside of the panel, where it should meet the bulkhead/floorpan (behind the section with holes drilled through).

With regards to the spot welds holding it to the jamb panel, I cannot see how I can get the panel to touch the inner face, let alone spot weld it? I did brace the shell prior to removing the old inner wing, so I cannot see it having moved to create this situation?

Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks

if there is any sign of previous accident damage, you'll have to start looking at the position of the bulkhead cross member. I friend had all sorts of problems with his lining them up until he realised the car had impact damage that had pushed the cross member back.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Afraid not as there isn't much left, this was the "good" side!

Nope no signs of it, from what I can tell it was the original front end etc, it has had replacement sills at some point but other than that it all looks original.

I'm trying to make out which side you are working on, but if it's passenger side, there has been a batch of dodgy ones from Heritage. They are way out. The sheet has been wrongly placed in the tool. Have a word with the supplier (wasn't us was it??!!). Heritage should now be aware of it.
