Have you tried swinging the dizzy to alter the ignition timing to get it to fire up? If it is trying then it is probably just that to actually get it to fire up.

Quick one here for you, recheck the firing order on the leads first! Then the ignition timing, then move on,

How would a timing light prove full lift of the cam at the correct time of tdc thought timing light timed tdc to dizzy ? |

If you have lined up dot to dot, it should start, even of you got it one tooth out one way or the other, so don't go chasing a goose.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Fresh batterie I then took all leads of and static timed it and put them all back on cranked it whilst loved dizzy and fired then set the tappets to correct I think I had set the valve clearances to tight which I'd imagine would cause low compression ? |

You've got straight cut drops on a NA 998 with a 276? What was the reasoning behind it? Just the noise? http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...tid=469104&fr=0 |

Ah, that makes more sense. That sounds like a nice build? Have you had it on the RR yet? What power/torque figures is it giving? http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.p...tid=469104&fr=0 |

it's a lot of money (especially the 998 ones I think?) for no power gains, Personally I would have got the head modded or something?
