Complete door weight would be very interesting, mine are 4kgs each with handles, catches, Lexan and chrome trims. Steel frames and alu skins I seriously doubt it! |

Slightly off topic, but weight figures may make a really handy thread for reference? Do you mean like this one: http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=452099 I'd take some of those with a level of caution though. Some are obviously way off! Edited by ado15 on 9th Aug, 2012. Steve

The weights we have down for skins are: Aluminium skin is 1.3Kg Steel skin is 3.6Kg (non-genuine) Steel skin (genuine) is nearly 5Kgs!!! Are these weights that you have measured and verified, or just found written down somewhere? I'm genuinely surprised that the OE steel skin weighs that much. On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

However, to be fair, the OE skins used to come in packaged, so we might have included that. Obviously, our weights are for shipping purposes. I have just this second weighed a genuine skin without packaging and it's 4.4Kgs, so still quite a difference! Steve
