This is really annoying me now.

Air is getting into the system right at the bottom of the pedal stroke, about 1 inch from the floor. If I bleed the clutch through not going this far it is fine, but as soon as I push the pedal a little further the air gets in.

I have changed the master cylinder for a spare, and the replacement is worse. I have already changed the slave cylinder for a new one and it is dry.

Before I spunk 70 quid on a new master cylinder does anyone have any thoughts?

If I don't sort this thats the rolling road session out the window at the end of the week.

Thoughs please

Hows the hose?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

You can get new seals from mini spares for a few quid. I had a similar problem beginning of the year and re sealing both master and slave cured the fault.

The cylinder can get a crud build up at the end of the stroke. If that stroke is changed for any reason so it travels further, the seal is trying to ride over the crud. If this has happened, the chances are the seal has been damaged anyway.

If you can clean the bore properly and it's totally free from pitting and scores, you could reseal it. Otherwise replacement is the best option.

The plastic reservoir cylinder from AP Braking are perfectly good and a hell of a lot cheaper than the metal can ones. So, as long as you aren't bothered by the look, save yourself some money.

Yep, master cylinder dead. Fitted a plastic type and the clutch is better then its ever been.

Only a rolling session to battle through now without Faliure and bring on mitp!
