serial to usb drivers for nearly all operating systems and they work with Plugable USB to RS-232 DB9 Serial Adapter from maplins
Done now needs redoing lol |

i thought i would share as i had problems with mine this is a generic driver so should work with all converters and also works on windows 7 but not 8 as there out dating this chip set and a different lead is need for windows 8 Done now needs redoing lol |

just needs to be able to power up have a look at the autolab website make sure your using the correct software for the unit so they match as i wasnt and i got errors Done now needs redoing lol |

so if i stick the live and earth on it i can get in without edis etc connected

yup, i belive you can do it with a 9v battery its all on there site tho id have a read to double check Done now needs redoing lol |

That lead recommended above is the one u have Andy, lol it worked on mine man lol I'm sure u will sort it though |
