brighton

hi all need some serious help/ guidance with my engine
basically i have a 1275 metro turbo engine with new turbo hif 44 and t3 turbo

ive tryed a different distributer (59d)and coil rather than the duclier no different

could it be jet related ?

also if i rev it up when not underload it will rev turbo kick in etc then go to give it another rev and it dies and cut out

any tips or anything would be much appricated thanks charlie

the turbo kicks in when you rev it? .. cool
Could be the common mistake with the plenum to carb gasket being fitted the wrong way round

hi benny the dash pot oils fine will check the mixture tomorow, sim-ou-nao what tee piece trick? and brett well yeah the turbo spins up obivously. will the gasket cause it to litrally just cut out when you try to pull away

yep it will usually idle for a while at least, then any kind of load and it will lean out and die ( usually on boost but since your getting boost with no load that should not be a problem *wink* )

If your pictures are in photo bucket



This is what your post should look like to put pictures on TM, to do this you need to go to photo bucket, hold your mouse over the photo you wish to show, click the second option down, then go back to post reply in TM, select the icon on the right that I have circled in red, when box opens paste your image in, and it should look like the sample shown..

Sounds like a possible arir leak. Check that the float bowl breather is blocked and that the part-thriottle lean off pipe has no splits (this is the most likely thing IMO).
